Enjoy our selection of wines, beer, and soft drinks as we raise a glass together to love and happiness.
If you have any food allergies, intolerances, or specific dietary requests, please let us know in advance so we can ensure you’re well looked after. Our hosts and the restaurant staff will be happy to accommodate any needs wherever possible.

ACCOMMODATION AND TRANSPORT

You’re welcome to choose any accommodation that suits your plans, but staying near the metro line makes getting around Thessaloniki much easier. The church is just an 8-minute stroll from the Efkledis metro station, while Venizelou station places you right in the vibrant city centre. The metro operates from 5:30 AM until midnight (running later on weekends), and a single journey costs roughly 55 pence, making it an affordable and efficient way to explore the city. The nearest beach is Perea, which is 25 minutes by car.
Our venue, Hotel Philippon, is a short 15-minute taxi ride from the church and city centre, and offers a small discount for guests who wish to stay there. There are plenty of buses from the airport to the city centre. More information here.

OUR STORY
We come from different corners of Europe, I am a sunshine-loving Greek girl from Thessaloniki, and he is a very English boy from Tamworth; but somehow the universe decided our paths should cross.
We met online (modern love and all that), but our real story began in Grove Park in Birmingham back in July 2021. On our very first date, somewhere between fresh air and unfiltered honesty, I casually told him I wanted to kill my lab manager at the time. To this day, I am fairly certain his first impression of me was: potential serial killer!
My first impression? I thought he looked like a kind, slightly more athletic Prince William, impossibly English, charming accent and all and very adamant to not pay for train tickets! To me, he felt exotic. To him… possibly alarming!
And yet, we kept talking…
What started casually turned into something neither of us expected. Park dates turned into park runs. One trip became many. Adventures became our thing; sunshine, long walks, new cities, spontaneous flights, and the quiet joy of discovering the world side by side.
We are both happiest outdoors, moving, exploring, learning something new. From Bali’s tropical beauty to the concrete jungle of New York and countless European escapes, we built a life full of motion and memories. Somewhere between 5Ks and 24-kilometre hikes, we realised we weren’t just travelling the world, we were building one together, μαζί!
But our story isn’t only about the fun and the sunshine.
Through thick and thin, we have chosen each other. Through big adventures and quiet evenings. Through celebration and through loss. When I recently lost my grandma, he held me through the grief when my world was falling apart. When I was in between jobs, he was my inspiration to pursue my dreams and take my time until I figure out my next steps. In the hard moments, just as in the joyful ones, we found something even deeper than adventure: partnership and a place to call home.
The proposal was perfectly us.
After a 24km walk along the emerald waters of the Soča River in Slovenia, tired, happy, surrounded by nothing but nature, he knelt down beside the river, in a quiet little spot that felt like it belonged only to us. No audience. No grand spectacle. Just the sound of water, the river watching, and a question that had been building for the last years.
And of course, I said yes and here we are now writing our story so far!
From Thessaloniki to Tamworth. From park runs to mountain trails. From casual dates to forever.
This is our greatest adventure yet; and we can’t wait to celebrate it with you. Thank you for being part of our story!!!
