– INITIAL CONSULTATION/SITE VISITDuring the initial consultation a garden survey will be completed, in which existing features, potential risks and hazards will be noted. Aspect and soil type in your garden will also be recorded as this will bring us the best possible results when selecting appropriate plants for your garden. The last thing we want to do is waste money on unsuitable plants. Once the survey has been completed, we then discuss in great detail your requirements, tastes, and preferences you want in your new garden, and any features that need to be removed must also be mentioned.

– CONCEPT DESIGN PLANS – After discussing what your requirements are for your new garden design, I will then carry out and create a couple of designs, all hand drawn, including planting plans which will be further discussed until final selection has been finalised and completed. Letting me know your budget will help me select the appropriate materials and certified stock.

– FIXED PRICE QUOTE – Once the design has been picked and the landscapers have been contacted, I will provide you with a fixed price quote. This includes a full breakdown on planting, materials and labour costs.

– FINAL PLAN, INCLUDING PLANTING PLAN AMMENDMENTSThe final plan will be discussed in detail, in which we run over the hard and soft landscaping and how the garden will be constructed and when.

– CONSTRUCTION/HARD LANDSCAPINGHard landscaping is carried out at the beginning of your garden construction as it provides shape and structure to the garden. It can be the largest element in your garden design and can present maximum impact and functionality to your garden. This will turn your garden design into reality. We will liaise with the landscapers to make sure everything is going according to plan throughout the hard landscaping construction phase.

– PLANTING/SOFT LANDSCAPING Planting is carried out under RHS guidelines to maximise health and growth. Trees and shrubs are normally planted in the dormant season when your soil isn’t waterlogged or frozen. We will make sure the plants are planted at their suitable depth and ensure there is the correct spacing between them. All planting plans will list the genus, specie and cultivar.
